Getting to know me

 

Jessica Anne Wood is a lover of words. She has experience covering a range of subjects.

Following her dream to live and work in London, Jessica moved to the city in 2017, where she now works creating content for a host of platforms.

Jessica was a finalist in the 2016 Diageo Responsible Drinking Media Awards, winning the Best Online category for her article entitled, 'The Cost of Addiction: Reaching the Road to Recovery'. In addition, she had a second article in the final, 'Binge drinking: How does this affect your health?'

 

While working at Justmoney and Moneybags, Jessica completed the ASISA Academy Financial Journalist Bootcamp in March 2015. She was also a finalist in the 2015 Brandhouse Beverages (Pty) Ltd Responsible Drinking Media Awards in the category of best online for her Moneybags article 'What is foetal alcohol syndrome?'

Jessica is always ready to learn or experience something new. 

 

While completing her honours in 2013, Jessica worked as a content writer for an industry public relations company called NGAGE. Here she gained experience in technical writing, writing press releases for companies and brands such as Bosch Powertools, Cummins, SEW-Eurodrive and Redpath.
